Took off my ring,
Yet it is imprinted on my skin,
Punched and branded like
Cattle.
You saw me do it
But chose not to say anything,
Although it has been
a long time coming.
My finger is the only
part of me, that is
fine.

I love this. Having worn one for awhile, I know how it changes the skin, so this is very poignant. The last three lines are lovely. I keep reading over them to see what word combinations pop up. Thanks for posting it.
Thanks for the comment, I really felt this needed to be said so I really appreciate your words about the last three lines
